How did you get started with Salesforce?

In 2016 a mentor and fellow military veteran told me about Trailhead and at the time Vetforce (now Salesforce Military). Not long after I couldn't get enough Salesforce and decided to focus on learning everything about the platform. Eventually, I landed my first role in the ecosystem in 2019 and haven't looked back since! I've worked on many Salesforce instances over the years including Sales, Services, Experience, and Public Sector Clouds.

What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?

My favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce is the ability to turn business challenges, however small or large, into streamlined and scalable solutions that create positive impact. I enjoy leveraging the platform’s flexibility and many tools—through declarative building, custom development, and integrations.

What energizes you at work?

I love working with great people and teams. Although we solve many problems with technology, its the people and the process that make it fun. There is nothing more energizing than taking a project from start to finish and completing our goals as a team.

Name a work achievement you are proud of.

Building and supporting a global learning platform for AWS that supported tens of thousands of world wide learners with Salesforce playing a critical role in that endeavor.

Who or what inspires you?

My family and loved ones inspire me the most. I would not be where I am today without their continued love and support.

What’s one thing you recently learned or are learning now?

Both personally and professionally, I'm continuing to learn all things AI. The applications of AI in the future are remarkable and it will undoubtedly push humanity forward.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Loyal, Trustworthy, Respectful

What's something you love about where you live?

Minnesota has thousands of lakes, so there is plenty of opportunity to get out on the water. Summers here make it worth weathering the winters.

What could we find you doing outside of work?

I love going to concerts and sporting events! I've also been playing guitar since about 12 years old. Otherwise, you'll find me planning a trip to see a beach or go hiking.

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?

Anything from the 1980s! The music and movies were the best.
