How did you get started with Salesforce?

I got started in Salesforce as a user working in a chemical distribution company, eventually finding myself in IT as a developer.

What’s your favorite thing about building solutions with Salesforce?

Its both the blessing and the curse with Salesforce... there are always more than one way to do things on the platform because it is so large and always evolving. But that means there is always something new to learn, which is my favorite part of Salesforce.

What energizes you at work?

I always have a sense of pride at Go Live, when we deliver a fully functional product that will improve the efficiency of the business and make their work life easier.

Name a work achievement you are proud of.

Right before COVID, we were building a loan application portal for a large bank on experience cloud with LWC, which was a new technology at the time. In a weekend, our team was able to turn that portal into a paycheck protection plan portal for small businesses who were struggling with the pandemic. We were the first large bank to go live and start taking applications.

What’s one thing you recently learned or are learning now?

Like the rest of the world, I am learning how to utilize AI. I am finding myself incorporating it into my daily life, from creating recipes to writing Facebook posts. It feels like we are just scratching the surface of what the technology can do.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Kind, Intelligent, and Fun

What's something you love about where you live?

I love being near the Disney parks and taking our 2 grandkids there.

What could we find you doing outside of work?

Travelling. We just got back from a huge trip to Europe and Africa.

What trend do you hope makes a comeback?

I am not really the trendy type.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Oh you can't pay me enough to go on a karaoke stage :)
